Just wrapped up a recent mural commission in Deansgrange for Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council.

This was such a fun project, bringing to life the old Boland’s Biscuit Factory, once a huge local employer in the 60s and 70s, just a stone’s throw from the wall.

While researching, I came across some brilliant first-hand stories that really shaped the design. One of my favourites: workers were allowed take home broken biscuits on Fridays. And even more importantly, the factory was one of the first to introduce a late shift for women, giving wives and mothers the chance to work, earn their own money, and gain a sense of independence that wasn’t always possible at the time.

I was lucky to get an amazing run of weather while painting, and had such great chats with locals passing by.

Huge thanks to The Walls Project for bringing me on board, and to Total Vision Studios for capturing some incredible drone shots ?
