”I was asked to do a piece by Kings of concrete, at the tall ships festival. I chose to do the piece titled ”There is no justice, there’s just us”. Because I was so outraged at the behaviour of the police in the worldwide occupy movements. I was informed by the kings of concrete organisers there was an objection to the picture, so I agreed with the organisers to cover the bum in the image. Later, I was informed the guards wanted the piece removed completely, and they arrived along with a tall ships organiser. Rather than have my son see me being hauled into the back of a police van, I reluctantly agreed to remove the piece. I had no problem addressing the concerns of families present by covering up the bum. However, it appears obvious to me that the pressure to remove it entirely came because the guards objected to it’s content.”
